CMS in China
CMS has been active in China on behalf of its clients for almost 30 years and has had an office there since the mid-90s. We serve clients in China through our respective representative offices in Shanghai and Beijing.
As a leading European provider of legal and tax advice, we are well placed to advise both European companies doing business in the East and Chinese companies doing business in the West on cross-border issues.
Our knowledge of China’s legal and regulatory systems as well as its culture ensures we are able to give our Western clients tailor-made and fully integrated advice on their projects in the PRC. Similarly, our extensive network of European offices means we are able to give Chinese clients a seamless service across Europe, including not just Western Europe but Central and Eastern Europe, too.
Our principles
As a leading provider of solutions for legal and tax issues in Europe and emerging markets, we are committed to the highest quality of service, to the interests of our clients and to the development of our people. Our approach is rooted in knowledge of industry sectors and our clients’ specific businesses, and is aimed at finding commercially viable results and solutions for clients.
We understand the unique needs and challenges of each market sector and the importance of providing a tailored service to all our clients addressing their specific concerns and requirements. Our paramount concern is to add real value to our clients’ undertakings. In doing so, we focus on building long-term relationships with clients.
CMS is international in our outlook while maintaining strong local practices. We are convinced that having a regional presence is crucial to understanding client needs, thereby enabling us to develop and implement tailored solutions.
We also know that to add value our clients expect that we will not merely offer legal analysis. Our advice often goes beyond legal and taxation aspects as we strive to provide an insight into the business implications of legal decisions, corporate culture and specifics of local business approaches.
